The story of "Still the Moon"

Once upon a time there was girl playing her Celtic Harp on Venice Beach boardwalk. It was the 90's, but Lisa Lynne had grown up devoted to the music of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Lisa played rock bass professionally, and enjoyed a musical life created with her guitar and mandolin. She took all her love for classic rock and applied those influences gently to the Celtic Harp. Nobody had done those kinds of chords and effects on the the sweetest of instruments before, and people loved it.

Lisa wrote her own music and sold her tapes out of a basket. On the boardwalk she sold 50,000 cassettes and CDs to the tourists and was chosen to perform International Busker festivals. She ended up with a #2 record in Canada.

Lisa was a true street performer, then hired by Universal Studios to "portray" a street performer at their tourist attraction CityWalk. It was there she met Molly Pasutti, an extraordinary vocalist and songwriter who commenced writing the most heartwarming imagery and poetic lyrics to Lisa's instrumental songs, based on the stories of their lives.

They started playing their songs at coffee houses and open mics around Hollywood. Everywhere they played, the room fell silent. The soulful voice of Molly, her truthful lyrics with the tender and mysterious harp of Lisa never failed to move people to tears. This happened everywhere they played, but alas, they had no record to sell. And life was too busy to make one.

Lisa toured relentlessly playing festivals, street fairs, collage campuses and even shopping malls. She signed with Windham Hill/RCA and went on to performing arts centers, and fine theaters across the US.

Molly teamed up with musician and producer Jamie Dunlap, another successful composer for TV and movies. She wrote a book, led A Capella angels-a powerful vocal group, and stayed busy as a session singer too.

Every now and then Lisa & Molly would get together for a special event or personal occasion and bring out those soulful songs, and again, people were rendered speechless at the beauty. Everyone who heard them wanted a record.

So finally, on a whim, they hired Sony studio's for a day of live recording. They lit the candles and simply laid down all the tunes, natural.

Life got busy once again, Lisa's instrumental music was so endeared by music buyers and radio programmers that she went on to sell over one million units worldwide and reached Top 10 & 20 of the Billboard New Age music charts. She devoted much of her time to creating hospital music programs and teaching those with terminal illness the joys of playing music on her many harps.

Molly's voice and pen graced Emmy nominated films and programs for History Channel, HBO, Scooby Doo movies and countless commercials.

So the Sony recording gathered dust until Lisa teamed up with a fellow multi-instrumentalist from San Francisco, Aryeh Frankfurter. Lisa was a longtime fan of Aryeh's music (pronounced R-E-A) and they shared a background of playing in rock bands and loving the great progressive and pop music of the 70's.

Aryeh was also a gifted folk harpist and veteran street performer. He already had a successful career and his charm and wit delighted audiences around the globe. Aryeh had also studied Swedish music and picked up playing the rare Nyckelharpa while touring in Sweden. He was truly a kindred spirit, also an ex-rocker in love with Traditional music. A trained and studied musician since early youth with an electric violin and a degree in Philosophy.

Lisa & Aryeh's instrumental duo was an instant hit. They recorded an album together called "Two Worlds One" and immediately got International distribution with New Earth Records. They commenced touring the West Coast and enchanting audiences at concerts and festivals by their collection of rare instruments and the speed of which they shared and switched them.

Lisa moved to San Francisco, and while unpacking boxes Aryeh discovered the lost Sony tapes. He recalls being stunned at the sound of Molly and Lisa together. Aryeh decided that this music was beyond anything he had ever known, and persuaded Lisa into reviving this rich music.

Lisa lost her father around the same time, and invited Molly who she hadn't seen in years to sing with her at his memorial. Molly came and it was the most poignant performance to date. The undeniable musical chemistry was stronger than ever. It was obvious the time had come to finally do this collaboration for real, and to complete the long awaited record.

Lisa and Molly invited Aryeh to contribute his musicianship and produce the recording for them. Aryeh spent the next six months buried in his studio shaping what he considers the finest music he has ever been a part of.

Aryeh lent his passionate strings and arranging skills, and together they carefully recorded the authentic sounds of all their beloved instruments. It was a true labor of love, and they knew it was the birth of a new group and new direction in their musical life.

It was time to mix the album and they took a long shot by asking veteran engineer Bernie Becker to do it. Bernie has been sound guru for Neil Diamond for decades. They wanted a fine analog warm sound like the great pop music of the 70's.. Bernie loved their music so much he took it upon himself to see it to its highest fruition. The resulting audio quality is higher than anything any thing they have ever done before.

Aryeh, Lisa & Molly are proud and inspired more than words can say. They decided to name this group after Lisa & Aryeh's beloved first album "Two Worlds One" because the name means so much to them. This new album titled "Still the Moon" is the pride of their careers. The listeners are gathering, the live performances are unforgettable...

"Two Worlds One" is a music that fuses Romance, heartbreak, love and healing to an intimate sound that uplifts the soul and graces the heart.
