Celestial Winds
These records I can speak for all at once, since they are kind of a set. The Celestial Winds series, are kind of like the pictures you drew when you were little. They are very sweet and innocent. At the time they were new we sold a ton of them all over the country. Its hard for me to be subjective about them, because many years have passed, and I think I have grown as an artist by leaps and bounds. But they are very special in their own way, and they were very useful when people were looking for music that was simple and relaxing. "Celestial Winds 1," is a lesser evolved version of "Love and Peace" it has my harp, and the flutes are recorders, instead of Bamboo. I really like the music, its all mellow and love dovey. We did a version of John Lennon's "Imagine" on it... but technology and resources were limited at this early time, so I think the overall sound quality is not as good as all the other newer records. "Oceans of Love" is really sweet too, there's only one song I don't like, and that is a version of "Light my Fire" which I fought against doing the whole time, so if you skip that song, its a nice mellow new-agey style record. "Christmas Morning" continues after all these years to be a big favorite. Maybe its because its my only Christmas record, But still, something very magical happened during the making, I can't explain it, but it is very contagious and people just go on and on how much they have played it year after year. The year it came out, it went to number #2 on the Canadian Independent music charts, thanks to an impromptu television performance in Nova Scotia. It is quite gentle in presentation, and its all of my favorite Christmas tunes, done in a celestial fashion.
